nope he used his pc.

>(Next up: Configuring 'doze to accept PPP connections...)

easy, get DUN1.3, make a HOSTS (no dot whatever) textfile
with say:
________________
192.168.0.1 windows
192.168.0.2 amiga
_________________

put it in the doze dir,
plug a 7 wire null serial cable from com2 on the PC to the AMIGA com0:
and setup Miami or amiTCP for null-modem and the above names and No.

install the null-modem .inf PC file and make a dialup icon to the amiga
with under server types TCP/IP settings/specify an IP address 192.168.0.1.

the DUN1.3 is only needed if you intend useing the win9x box as a slave
to the net and the amiga running through wingate2.1d on the PC to the net,
as thats the only version i'v find that will allow more than 1 dialup
at a time and you seem to need to dial the PC THEN let the PC dial out
otherwise it dont work (more bugs in dun1.3).

run an FTP server on the PC to transfer files to/from the AMIGA
(i use BisonFTP) or download direct to the AMIGA (through wingate)
from the web while still online.

Oooh dont use NS 404 to download amiga files (even shift clicking)
as it doesn't like LHA file it seems !!!.

you can find the howto txt and files i use from the link at my basic site
http://www.amiga.mcmail.com or go to jaco's site for a better looking
html faq (see the readme at mine for his site).

thats all as i cant think how to turn this into an AMIGA emulations
related post<G> its still relavant to the transfer bit though if the
guy had an expanded AMIGA able to do this TCP/IP stuff.
