OS 3.1 & A1200

Hello all!

I wouldn't mind getting OS 3.1, but the price out there is outrageous for it!

I've seen the OS 3.1 disks on sale in a few magazine ads (Amazing
Computing for the Commodore Amiga) for around US$10. Can I use the 3.1
disks effectively with my A1200's 3.0 ROMS?

Better yet, can someone email me the ROM images for 3.1 on the A1200? :) :)

What would I need to use the ROM images on my A1200?

Tnx,

Will

Your problem.

AFAIK you can't buy only the disks. The ROMs are included!

WCJ> Better yet, can someone email me the ROM images for 3.1 on the A1200? :) :)

No. It's copyrighted stuff.

WCJ> What would I need to use the ROM images on my A1200?

As stated above - the "hardware-ROMs" are supplied automagically!

         Herzliche Grüße

I really dont know , there`s not much been changed except for a CD
interface, ... ?
Anyway 3.2 maybe around the corner and then following not too long
behind it might well The PowerFull O.S.4.0?

This is Piracy & illegal , sorry but I cant get my rom from the CD32
onto my A1200 due to a sernet problem or maybe serious serial problem.

Not true....the disks ARE sold without the ROM. I've seen many ads in Amazing
for diskettes alone. Much cheaper than with the ROM included!

So piracy is NOT outrageous? Good things are not necessarily cheap.

Some money. Buck up and BUY the package.

Yep, it works effectively enough. Hey, that's what I use and I haven't had
a problem with it (except for the crap cd device, that is).
