PrepareEmul and CSA Derringer problems

Anyone have the CSA Derringer 030 installed on an A500 (Rev5) and using
ShapeShifter v3.3?

How did you resolve the PrepaerEmul problem? Did you HAVE a problem
with PrepareEmul?

A friend is trying to use it and it simply reboots to black and hangs.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Well I do not have "CSA Derringer 030", but I have an a500 with GVPA530
and am able to run shapeshifter. The trick is to put rsrvmem37 (name from
memory) before prepareemul in the startup-sequence. I think rsrvmem
can be found on aminet:

rsrvmems.lha misc/emu 4K+Newest Emplant RSRVMEM's.

but I am a bit suprised that it is something initially build for
Emplant... but since it works... I don't care :-)

I hope it'll help you.

samuel.
