SS Mac PPP DNS (what a lot of letters!)

Anyway I have everything running fine on my 1200 030
amiga with SS 3.3 and System 7.5 except for DNS (domain name resolution)
in MacTCP version 2.0.2 (im running FreePPP )

it just wont recognizes my POPs name servers...

I read a fudge you had to use in older MacTCP versions, something about
putting a '.' into the second field of the DNS names but it didnt work,

anyone else got this problem and have a solution? Its a right royal pain
opening a telnet session just to do DNS stuff for netscape...

cheers
