A4000, Epson Scanner, Brilliance and Pagestream3?  Sounds like you have a 
pretty good start.  For a paperless studio, a tdrawing tablet would 
definitely be a plus.  I would also throw in Stylus ProVector 3.

Wether this is better than a Mac is better left to advocacy, but being 
the cheapskate I am, I would point out that using what you have is 
cheaper than buying another system.  And the Amiga has some very capable 
graphics software.

I use a PowerMac at school for publication oriented work, and I use my 
Amiga at home.  I use OpalPaint on my Amiga and I have always felt it 
responds much better than Photoshop.  If you need more effects and 
conversion power you can get Image FX2.1.  The price of both would come 
under the pricetag of Photoshop, at last glance.  ProVector3 is also far 
less than Illustrator 6 or Corel draw (granted it is probably less robust 
in some areas, but just as capable.)
