The only easy way to add more CHIP RAM to the A500/2000 is
to buy the MegACHIP 2000 board made by DKB. This comes with
the Fatter Agnus chip and an extra 1 Mb of RAM onboard to
augment the 1 Mb of memory on the motherboard of the A2000.
I wrote a review of this product for Amiga Report magazine.
It is in issue 306.
