People customise their Workbench to either make it easier to use, or to make
them feel more at home with their computer.

This is the 1990's, the awful days of black & white dos prompts is coming to
an end, the GUI is the office desk of the future.

I run various patches, mainly to correct problems with the OS not just to
change the cosmetics of the system, problems such as scroller gadgets in 1:1
aspect screens.
