Right, we've proven - very convincingly - that the Amiga CAN do
wolf/doom clones (there will soon be enough of them that they come out
ours ears!)...
.....but I can do nothing but cringe in shame when I try to play an MPEG
on my Amiga.
It CRAWLS when compared to a PC with the same CPU power.....why?
why isnt any work being done on this anymore? amipeg seemed to be going
somewhere, but it now seems to have halted..
is it the chunky->planar problem still? if so, then why arent some of
the new c2p algorithms being used??
We have a machine that is CAPABLE of good applications, but those
applications are being ignored... think, multimedia presentation with
loads of MPEGs around (taking up much less space than CDXL's) - ie even
MORE gfx can be used in presentations...
