Also call NewTek and ask them what they charge for a system they would recommend i.e. a system with RAM!!! Then you immediately end up at $23000. That is not particulary cheap anymore. Also there is a little more applications out there for the INDY and all other SGI machines. For instance with the Cosmo card you can use the INDY as a non-linear editing system. There must be a reason why everybody is porting to SGI these days including ASDG, Impulse etc. We already have ported our software to INDY and other SGI machines. Btw. I think Lightwave is OK but definetely not "the finest 3D software in the world". This makes it obvious you did not see what is standard on SGI machines. And for NewTek it is still far way. But for those that are totally satisfied with the Toaster and believe all the marketing HYPE the Screamer is the right choice. Especially because it makes them stay in the Amiga market and we do not have to bother to speak to these nerds. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- email: weigner@rcs.de Premium animation, paint and image processing rcs management gmbh software for Silicon Graphics workstations. dammweg 15 - Animator Broadcast 28211 bremen - Image Translator germany - more soon ... fax: +49 421 3477447 Lord, mercy!
