I have an A500 which I have expanded and accelerated to make it capable of running internet software and at decent speed. I am running AmiTCP4.0 with PPP1.45 (registered) although SLIP and CSLIP are available free with the AmiTCP distribution (a dialup script needs to be used with those). I have AmigaDos 3.1 and a 250Mb hard disk (the internet software files are quite large!). Also I am running a Supra 28MHz 68000cpu (which allows decent speed) over the net. Most of the software you will need is available on Aminet - and those files are often available through your service provider or Amiga oriented BBS's. Your best bet is to find someone in your community already connected and willing to help you install and configure the software.
