Now, Marcel, you are a programmer, right? Would you provide an incomplete
API, of one of your programs, to just anyone? Think about it from my
perspective and answer the question yourself.

Marcel, you've misunderstood my prior responses to you entirely.

Yes, what we have on EXes is not good enough to provide as an API or SDK
on the *EXISTING AMIGA CODE*! Thus, we have made EX development done
internally. We are, of course, working on, have been for the past three
years, new software technology, which we call "BackBone(tm)". This new
technology, promises more capabilities than our existing Amiga products.
It certainly fills in the "missing" things in our existing Amiga products.
We hope to utilize this new technology, to bolster our competitive edge
against other products, on other platforms.

BackBone's first implementation will be on the PC and our ITV products.
In some ways the PC product, will be superior to the Amiga products and at
the same time, in some ways, inferior, due to the limitations of the PC
architecture and MS-DOS. We may, I repeat, *MAY*, port the BackBone
technology back to the Amiga platform. Again, as I've said many times
before, only with dilligent efforts between Scala, ESCOM/Amiga Technology
and their strategic partners, can this be accomplished.

Since, BackBone is much better software technology, we will, of course, be
able to provide a comprehensive, well documented and easy to program
API/SDK for EX development. With certain guidelines and restrictions, of
course.

Competition is good. It keeps us on our toes and prevents us from
becoming complacent. So, if you or others want to make multimedia
software for the Amiga, then in all sincerity, go for it. Bon chance! :)

I appreciate your frustration, but at the same time, Marcel, you must try
to see if from our perspective. All good things come in time. I ask that
you be patient, that is all. One more bit of advice Marcel. You must
learn to "read between the lines" as they say. I believe others have
understood my message, long before this discussion reached this point. :)

I do not wish to discuss this further. I believe this discussion has run
its course. If you have any other questions, besides what we have already
covered, please feel free to post them here on eMail me directly.

Warmest Regards,

John Chang
