It seems that if someone disagrees with what is going on, then they are to be ignored? I am a registered Scala owner for the Amiga. I have stated that I love the product and use it extensivley in my video work. I appreciate how easy it is to use, yet how powerful it is. My concern though is that after MM400 there might not be anymore support for the Amiga. Yes, I have read the Amiga Report IRC. I have read Mr. Chang's messages here. And they are very optimistic about the MM100 (and knowing what they have done already with Scala, I the app must be a 'killer' product). I see nothing wrong with making products for other platforms. They are in business to make money, and what platform has the greatest potential. The PC. But there is this nagging feeling that unless there is a PowerAmiga that is sold in large enough quantities, there really wont be any more Amiga upgrades. Reading Mr. Chang's messages said "if". That to me means "no" until those "if's" are met. Right now, we have no idea what is going to happen to the Amiga. Sold again. Mr. Chang says that my view is myopic. I tend to think that it is realistic with the information that I have. I sincerely hope that I am wrong, but until someone (Mr. Chang, Viscorp, AT) tell me otherwise... And telling me that there are things that cant be said about future upgrades doesnt help either. IF they were going to continue upgraded the Amiga in it's present form, then say so. It will go a long way in stopping all the 'doomsayers'.... including me.
