Amigen on my A1200 - Colors Faded

Does anyone know why, when I use my Amigen on my A1200 the whites are
very dull? It works great on my A500, very bright whites. My best guess
is that the power supply of the 1200 is too weak, and I can't try the
500's supply because I hardwired it into the 500 (actually I installed
the 500 into an XT case.) What makes me think that it isn't the PS is
that the 500 is using an incredible amount of power - It has an 020
accelerator, two A1010 drives, an AdIDE, a 3.5" hard drive, and a
shuffleboard - plus the Genlock. So I would think if anything, it would
have the problem. If anyone knows of something that would help me, I
would greatly appreciate it, I would love to use the genlock with my A1200.

			Thanks,
				Bob

Well, don't know the results you've ben getting with your Amigen, but back
in the stone ages I used two different units with my A500+BigFoot power
supply and they always had problems of color shifting, overheating,
unstable keying...
>>>>> WARNING: DANGEROUS SUGGESTION AHEAD! PROCEED AT OWN RISK!!! <<<<<
In order to alleviate some of those problems, I used to tweak the (one?
two? can't recall) small rotary dials inside the case (one was for color
and the other vertical/horiz. stabilization I believe). I was able to
>>somewhat<< stabilize and correct the color shifting on the last unit,
but quality still was suffering (and I was using professional VTRs!) so as
soon as I could I got rid of the Amigen and saved for a SuperGen...
