Hi all,
I was wondering if there is a kind of 'dummy-sana2 driver'. What I
mean by this is that I'm searching for a sana2 driver that will
directly talk to another (similar) sana2 driver, without any hardware
like ethernetcards or modems.
What I need it for? Well, I'm currently running my internet stuff
either from my Amiga, or from my Macintosh emulation (Emplant), but I
can't have them talking with the net at the same time, nor with each
other. Now I'm thinking about upgrading to Emplant PRO, which claims
it supports the sana2 standard, to make it possible to use the sana2
devices on the Amiga from the Mac side.
When it's possible to have it assigned to any sana2 driver, it would
also be possible to do something like this (where the Emplant runs in
the same A4000 as the one at the bottom of the scheme):
Mac Emulation (Emplant PRO)**
|
Mac-TCP
|
'dummy S2'.device
|
no hardware some other stuff INTERNET
| | |
| | |
| | |
no hardware Ariadne ethernet card modem
| | |
'dummy S2'.device Ariadne.device PPP.device
| | |
---------------------Ami-TCP---------------------
|
Amiga 4000/040**
**= same physical machine
Any ideas? I would very much like to hear them...
Thanks,
