Hi all.
I spent yesterday nite getting nntpd to run on my Amiga. Now I
can connect and check the non-existent messages in e.g.
comp.sys.amiga.programmer.
Now I would have to get the mail somewhere. The docs just
say "have yourself added to some list on your nntp host". Well,
I am allowed to connect to a news server, but I guess that's
about it.
The docs further detailed two programs, the one non-working
at the time of writing (working now?), the other from Michael
van Elst slow, but working. Okay, I tried MvE nntpget, but
I don't really know how to tell it to only get new news.
I can provide a "since" option, but I thought that the nntpds deal
with that, what do I need it for in the first place ? And where
should I have nntpget put the news, or better, how do I
feed it directly to nntpd ?
I'm quite lost right now :-(
If multiple people were so kind and help me, I'd post
my (working) setup afterwards, to help others.
Tom.
