My thanks to these individuals: kainaw@cris.com (CS Wagner) doakes@fox.nstn.ca (David Oakes) jlidstro@bd.edu.amu.se (John F. Lidstrom) phil@stokes.demon.co.uk (Philip Stokes) jeremyn@injersey.com (Jeremy) fribert@datashopper.dk (Kenneth Fribert) They have shown that it indeed pays to read the documentation that one gets with any software. PAP support is present in the PPP device - since about version 1.30. PAP appeared to me to be a new concept since I had never heard of it and a friend who had used AmiTCP in the past had not seen PAP support in the PPP device when he used it (a while ago though) The assumption was then that there was no such thing in this device and I didn't even bother to look. Heh... Oh well. Thanks gentlemen! .trog-- Eric R. Augustine eraugust@igate1.hac.com
