Hi Chris J Schnurr,
On 29-mrt-96 10:59:51 you wrote about Thor - Whats a conference whats a system?.

CJS> Thor has settings for systems and conferences.
CJS> is a system my Internet account (like, me.amiga.com)

Yes, because Thor is a multi format mailer they had to call it something
:.) a system can also be a BBS where you could poll (send/receive) for
example your FIDO-net mail (or any other mail format).

CJS> and a conference - is this each particular newsgroup - like,
 CJS> alt.pave.the.earth
 CJS> comp.sys.amiga.emulations, etc...

Right again :.)
In an internet systen (TCP, SOUP, UUCP) you'll also have an EMail
conference, which is whre all your personal Email will land in.

CJS> So do I have to setup user infor for every single newsgroup I want to
 CJS> read (gulp)

No, just in the System settings, but you can change them for every
conference if you like or need to.

CJS> Or is each system a newsgroup ??

Nope, a system is a collection of conferences of the same type.

CJS> And where's the new newsgroup for thor ?

alt.sys.amiga.thor
