Hi all, got an amiga and i want to subscribe to internet. I dont know much
about setting it up on my system. My amiga setup is A3000T 040, 2.1 roms soft
kicked to 3.1,Picasso 2meg (running on standard picasso driver) 256 color
magic workbench,10 megs of ram. I need to know where to start. What do i need
from my Internet Service Provider? What should i request from them in terms of
type of service? Then, what do i need in terms of settingup a web browser?I
already know of a few just by browsing thru the newsgroups but it sure is
confusing. Ive even tried setting up a few e.g. MUI,Amitcp,Amosaic,Aweb etc. but
every time i click on an icon to start the program, either i get an error or
nothing happens. For example, i want to make sure i have MUI set up properly. I get
this file MUI from local BBS, I uncompress it into a drwr and then i click on
install. After, i click on icon called MUI but i get errors 'Fail to create Application'
How does MUI,Amitcp,Amosaic tie with each other? Is there anything out there that
only has one compressed file with everything already set up in it?BTW, I also tried
Aweb. I had no problem installing it and running it. But i think you need Amitcp/ip
for it and i cant get Amitcp to work(I dont even know if im running it properly)
To make a long story short, is there anybody that can help me or explain in rookie
terms what i need to get an internet setup for my Amiga? Any replies would be much
appreciated.
