I had assumed that it was available directly on a second blanking There is one port on the card, accessable directly (ie, it's available on the back of the computer). The second port is a series of pinouts on the card, so you would have to purchase the cable yourself. > Would I be able to print Final Writer/Propage files out of the one of the > Ariadne parallel ports? If they are reasonably system-compliant, yes. There is a device-driver for the port, and a program to redirect access to the normal port to the ariadne parallel port. > How would I implement a logical command like: > copy test.ps par: (which sends a postscript file directly to the native > parallel port for my laserjet) Welp, you could use the above redirection program. I believe you could also mount it as a separate device, say ARIPAR:, but I can't find my manual right now to doublecheck; I don;t use the parallel ports for much. It -is- firmly stated that using the native parallel port for printing, and the Ariadne ports for networking or the like, is more compatable. > And finally, are you glad you bought the Ariadne? Yes.
