I solved the problem meanwhile. The main problem was that I used CD (Carrier
detect) in the aslip settings. I use now the same settings as Provider.conf
except that I do not dial or go online. So it is even possible to log in with
Term and later start AmiTCP without redialing :-)

BTW: If you want to do offline you must have an IP Addres in db/hosts. If
you intend to use severs localhost must be added as well. And the DOMAIN in
resolv.conf must be added as well (but this is all similar to 4.2)
