We recently had a PowerMac in our Amiga Network (about 20 Amigas 
with Ariadne) and there were no problems. 
 
You only have to use Ethernet as physical transport medium and 
MacTCP and AmiTCP to communicate. 
 
PS. I can't remember if it were a PowerMac 7200/7500 but it only 
    had an UTP port so we had to use a transceiver (a hub will 
    work, too)
