So, am I the only one that's highly annoyed with the latest IBrowse (version 0.81) behaviour that the hotlist always closes after you jump to link in it by either double clicking or hitting return in the list? I've been meaning to ask it for a while... Berend Ozceri Carnegie Mellon University

Would it not be nice to have one hotlist for all the browsers, while one has to use different browsers until they have developed to a more mature stage? Any idea for the developers? Sorry to disapoint you, but I like it more the way it is now, because if I jump to a link in the hotlist I normally stay a while there so I've always had to close the window by hand with the older versions of IBrowse. >I've been meaning to ask it for a while... Why not earlier? I'm sure there are a lot of peope out there who agree with your opinion and not mine. That's fine. Actually, I expected that some people would like it better this way. It's a very good indication that the hotlist auto-close feature should be a preference option. I'll CC: a copy of this message to the IBrowse folks to bring it to their attention. Berend Ozceri Carnegie Mellon University

It bothered me more before I discovered the "?" gadget next to the URL line can be clicked to bring it back in the same state without going through the menus. Still, I'd like to see an option to have it hang around. BTW, does anyone know of a good external program to play AVI files? I found a site with an AVI of a Dodge Viper (drool!), which I tried to play, but xanim just said something like "Intel <mumble> codec not supported" and wouldn't play it. I didn't see anything else promising on aminet, save for a program that was only for one specific graphics card instead of cybergfx. - steve (looking forward to the commercial version of ibrowse)

As I understand it the Intel AVI Codec is only available to those who pay a (large) fee, so it's unlikely to be supported in a shareware/freeware product :-( -- richard@startide.demon.co.uk : Richard Lavey on a Dial-Up Account * I know that this is vitriol, no solution spleen-venting * * But I feel better having screamed, Don't You ? * * R.E.M.
