We recently found something strange. On a 3000 running 2.0, a dpaint
animation will be clearly slowed down when playing a sound sample. The
same setup with 1.3 on the 3000 shows no visible slow down.
A second bell sound came when comparing fast loading of images on
a 2000, 2500 and 3000. With 2.0 on the 3000 it starts fetching images
quit fast than there is a noticable slowdown, then it recovers. We used
iff.library (ver 18.5, by C. Weber, available on fish disk).
Is there any known speed problem related to contention on chip ram
with current 2.0 (and 3000)? Got latest versions of Kickstart & WB
36.143 and 36.68.
