For all those eagerly awaiting the reification of the recently passed
comp.sys.amiga.* reorganization, Eliot Lear just posted a note in
news.announce.newgroups that he won't be sending out the newgroup control
messages until after the first of the year, so that there will be sysadmins
at the sites available to apply them, for the many that have auto-newgroups
turned off.

He's right, it would be a mess to have half the net changed over and half
not.  Please be patient, and let him do the job right when he does do it.

Sigh.  It would have been nice to have it happen while I was around to see
how it worked.  You all enjoy it.
