Need Motif for Mosaic-UNIX

My goal is to obtain Mosaic for my C= release of UNIX, using a SL/IP line.

After checking the NSCA site, it seems that Mosaic requires Motif. My
thinking is that I need to obtain/install Motif since the C= Release only
uses OpenLook.

I thought that I read somewhere (in the C= installation manuals) that Motif
was available but I can't seem to find the reference. Can anyone verify
whether Motif is available/installable for the C= UNIX release?

BOTTOM LINE: Does anyone know of a way to access the WWW under the C=
             release of UNIX SVR4?

Motif is sold by Open Software Foundation. If you want I can
dig out the address.

What about AMosaic? Also, are you sure *all* versions of NCSA
Mosaic require Motif? After all, Motif was not ported for all
workstations you can compile Mosaic on AFAIK.

If you are that desperate, why not simply run Shapeshifter and
Mosaic/Netscape while emulating a Mac?

There -are- other Web browsers for X which don't require Motif. Chimera,
for example, is one. (Excuse me if I misspelled the name--I can look it up
if you want me to.) Chimera uses Athena (read: ugly) widgets, but can be
made to look better if you use libXaw3d (3d'ish athena widgets).

BTW--Let me give Holger Kruse a blatent plug here: Chimera -has- been
ported to run under AmiWin (an AmigaOS native X environment...the
registered version gives you the necessary X development SAS/C libraries
to write/port X apps to AmigaOS).

: Forget about Motif, it's bloated, expensive, and inefficient.

Ah, but Motif has become the defacto standard as the X graphical interface.
Personally, I'm an OpenLook/Xview kinda guy. :-)
