I don't like to quote a lot of stuff into my responses, but someone is having trouble getting EMACS to save type SRC aux $0008 files. I'm not sure on the specifiecs, but the best (most clever, anyway) solution is to write a macro that will intelligently issue chtyp to the underlying shell when a file with suffix .c or .cc is saved. You could probably bind-to-key a whole new save macro for C programs, in fact. I'll post the exact solution when/if I figure it out... --- chrisw@amiganet.chi.il.us (Chris Wicklein)
