I feel really dumb asking this question, being as I recall it being something of an FAQ, but... I'm having trouble getting any program to compile under GNO. For example, I tried compiling the source code for yes using the make command. It compiles fine, but when I get to the linker I get errors along the lines of... Error at 00000054 past rexit PC = 00000559 : Address is not in current bank I had this problem fixed at one point, but have apparently messed it up again and I don't recall the solution. I've appended my gshrc, if that will help. brianh@ccwf.cc.utexas.edu # # Sample GNO Shell login file # last update: 9/15/91 # echo " " echo "Welcome to GNO 1.0, commercial release" echo " " # # Setup the other prefixes to emulate Orca for the benefit of utilities # If you're using Orca 2.0 stuff, be sure to set prefixes 13-17 also prefix 1 /hd.partition.4/utilities prefix 2 /hd.partition.4/libraries prefix 3 /hd.partition.4 prefix 4 /hd.partition.4/system prefix 5 /hd.partition.4/languages prefix 6 /hd.partition.4/utilities # 2.0 Stuff prefix 13 /hd.partition.4/libraries prefix 14 /hd.partition.4 prefix 15 /hd.partition.4/shell prefix 16 /hd.partition.4/languages prefix 17 /hd.partition.4/utilities # Easy prefixes... prefix 21 /hd.partition.1 prefix 22 /hd.partition.2 prefix 23 /hd.partition.3 prefix 24 /hd.partition.4 prefix 31 /hd.partition.4 # # Initializes our environment # cd 9: set path=". ./Orca ./Utils /hd.partition.4/usr/bin /hd.partition.4/utils /hd.partition.1/utilities /hd.partition.4/system /hd.partition.4/languages /hd.partition.4/utilities" set prompt="[%h] %C> " set history=25 savehist=25 set home="/hd.partition.4" set user=brian set usrman="/hd.partition.4/usr/man" set termcap="/hd.partition.4/etc/termcap" set term="gno" set tmacdir="/hd.partition.4/etc" set lccincludes="/hd.partition.4/libraries/OrcaCdefs" set keepname=\$ export path prompt history savehist home user usrman termcap term tmacdir lccincludes keepname # Setup necessary aliases # These aliases are for the cp program, which actually does rm and mv, too alias cp "cp -vi" alias rm "cp -vip rm" alias mv "cp -vip mv" alias ls "ls -CF" alias va "yankit t" alias uncompress "compress -d" alias zcat "compress -c" alias ll "ls -al" # Don't insert aesthetic newlines set nonewline=1 Thanks for Any Help! brianh@ccwf.cc.utexas.edu
