DESIGN YOUR OWN CHARACTER SET!

Would you like to replace any character which appears on your Apple 2
screen by one of your own design? Or would you be curious to see Hank
Levinson do so at our next meeting? Hank will replace one of the lesser
used characters on an Apple IIe. One could use similar techniques to
replace characters on any Apple 2 model, or to write foreign character
sets for any Apple 2 screen. For more discussion of such techniques, see
Jim Sather's "Understanding the Apple IIe".

If anyone would like to design a logo for the Apple 2 screen, Hank has
offered to program it in. The logo can be one or two characters. Please
design a one-character logo on an 8 x 8 grid, or a two-character logo on
two adjacent 8 x 8 grids.

Our meeting will be held at 6:30 pm on Monday, January 26, at 345 West
58th Street, Apt 5L, next to the Coliseum, just west of Columbus Circle,
in Manhattan. If you have any questions, you may call us at
(718)499-7470, or at (212)956-3634, or send us e-mail at baug@dorsai.org.
You may als look for our future announcements on our hotline at
(212)606-2297, or on the comp.sys.apple2.usergroups newsgroup.

We hope to see you in the near future. You are welcome whether you are a
novice or a power user.
