Gem Kermit in Starter Kit

I just recieved the starter kit from John Franco.  Most of the utilities
work just fine.  However, I have not been able to get kermit to
function.  I found two kermit files 'kermit.pqg' and 'kermit.rqs'.
Neither of these are executable.  I changed the names to 'kermit.prg'
and 'kermit.rcs', respectively, and now when I execute kermit.prg, I get
a TOS error #35.  I don't know what that error is, nor do I know why the
program won't run.  Help!!!  Can someone tell me how to get the kermit
to execute, or mail me a copy that will.  Thanx in advance.
