Ordinarily I'd send this just to Simon, but I can't find his address:
Have there been any bug reports about binary file transfers in Kermit? If I
try kermit -ix (binary file, server mode) on my host, then select binary and
do a get filexxxx from Uniterm, the file transfers okay, but then it's
corrupted: ARC doesn't understand the file. If I do an XMODEM file transfer
on the same file, I don't have any problems at all (I just tried again on
MEGABLIT, just to make sure).
I'm using v1.6f. Thanks for any assistance.

[p.s. it's kinda nice to see the name of someone i've corresponded with in a
magazine, simon!]
