running Uniterm from a CLI

Has anybody out there been able to run Uniterm from the COMMAND.TOS
command line interpreter? This is reeeelly important to me. I wrote a
little C (Mark Williams)program which hid the text cursor and revealed
the mouse pointer before Pexec-ing Uniterm, but all you could do was
wave the pointer around, clicking on buttons and sliding over menu
titles had no effect.
Do I need to initialise the mouse in any special way? I am puzzled
because running the same program from the Mark Williams shell works
perfectly.
Could you mail me any ideas, even if you decide to post them, as we only
get a small percentage of articles in any given group arriving here, and
I have often seen replies to replies to my postings without seeing the
replies - very confusing!
   Thanks in advance,
Tim
