In article <4059@watdragon.waterloo.edu> jafischer@tiger.waterloo.edu (Jonathan A. Fischer) writes: 20K worth of ANTIC ravings about how the Atari showings at Comdex made everybody in sight wet their pants, and were the greatest things in computing since Von Neumann. Well, quite aside from the facts that A) ANTIC is probably the most self- serving of any of the computer magazines, regularly printing articles praising themselves and badmouthing everything that doesn't run the software they sell, and B) the vaprous nature of most of the products they were raving about, anyway (don't you remember the FIRST time the CD-ROM player was announced, folks? Like, the same time as the ST? Hmm?), there's still one thing: I don't know about the comp.sys.transputer folk, but I'm pretty sure that the comp.sys.amiga folk have only limited interest in 20K of Atari, and only Atari, news. Next time, how about editing the Newsgroups: line? I did. Please, this isn't an effort to start another MCIB war. The ST is pretty nifty, and getting niftier all the time. So is the Amiga. So, for that matter, is IBM. So, any comments about my statements above should stay in comp.sys.atari, as will this response. I even promise not to bring the Amiga into this, o.k.? -- ---------------- Michael J.
