Does it matter. Since transputers have to use the 10M Inmos links
they are an ideal for linking up machines from different manufacturers.

Then when your Atari need some extra horsepower it farms it out to a
PC with a tranputer doing nothing, and vice versa of course.
Hey presto everybody uses their favourite machine but with real speed!

Of course this all sounds wonderful. Unfortunately the catch comes
(as usual) with the software and the interconnections. Can we conect
up 100s of PCs via transputer links in such a way that the operating
systems can find idle nodes, and then is the software structured so
that it can actually work.

SF fans may recall that ORAC in Blake's 7 had this capability. Will
we have to wait several centuries?
