Hi Philippe! That rather depends what format the text files are in! If it's pure ASCII, there should be no problem (once you use makedisk if your PC won't read the Atari-formatted disks - this depends on how old the Atari is, or rather what TOS it used; 1.4-on should be PC compatible. Even then, problems can arise if the disk was formatted non-standard, with more sectors or tracks, though I think makedisk can handle that.) However, if the files are in a proprietary format, there could be problems. 1st WOrd/1st WOrd Plus for instance used the ASCII characters 29 and 30 for stretch spaces, and 2-letter escape codes for text styles. The whole document was prefixed with four lines of numbers and a ruler, such as 066000200000000132000004000000000 10 2-#-0 F0110000001 9[...................................................]0110 (some of these characters are unlikely to survive the ISO conversion of the mailer, I fear). Anyway, the preamble can be cut off in an editor such as notepad, and you should be able to use the find and replace function to put proper spaces in. A similar thing applies if the text was written by some other application. Regards, /Peter/
