        Well, it *did*. It's back now, but I lost all my news. The
        new groups file went haywire, and did all sorts of things to
        my partition. I had to copy across a new new news directory from
        the Oasis.210 distribution. An annyance, and it was never that
        much faster than ICE anyway. Beware. POPWatch is a different kettle
        of fish. No moan there.

        (Using a Mark X and Magic at the time. I still reckon Oasis / ICE
        is best for news. 400 articles per group with newsie just doesn't
        cut it. I might be tempted to try the FTP client, though.)
