Hi

Apologies if this article is off topic/subject, I couldn't think of
which group I could aim it at.

I'm after someone to point me in a direction for info on CGI, what it is
and how do you use it... and how can I test CGI scripts without being
connected up to a server (using Win 98) so that I can test and write
CGI's out without having to go on-line every time.

Thanx in advance

Steve,

Get yourself a cheap copy of delphi 3 or above, this will allow you to
create CGI ( Common gateway interface ), and WinCGI - "programs" - I use
this term loosely, or start tackling perl.

The only thing to remember is if you want to deploy them, you will usually
need a ISP that allows you the rights to implement them server side.

Do a search on the internet for CGI, and I lie not, you will find tonnes of
stuff on it.

Regards,
Greg

Uhrm. Try getting a webserver, like Apache, or something, and install Perl5
(www.perl.com)
