     I noticed a problem in one of my FORTRAN programs just after RTU 6.0
was installed. The <fioerr.f> file contains a numeric cross reference to
various errors. For example, FERNEWF (tried to open existing file with
status = 'new') is supposed to be error 117. My program has some code to
handle this exception. Unfortunately, when running under RTU 6.0, the
condition described is logged as error code 517. 


    Come on Concurrent, what's the big idea?????
