Postscript emulation cartridge

I am having problems with a Postscript emulation cartridge from
PacificPage installed in a LaserJet IID printer on a Masscomp 5520
system running RTU V5.0. I seem to be able to print files using
the cartridge o.k. unless the files are greater than 35 or 40 Kbytes
(at least this seems to be the case with the demos supplied and a
handful of other files I tried). With these larger files, the printer
gives a "Frame Error" message and must be powered off and on before
it is usable again. The printer has 4 Mb of RAM installed (memory
board also from PacificPage).
Any suggestions on what this message means and how to get this cartridge
to work properly would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you very much.
