[Apologies if anyone see's this more than once, but in desparation I'm
 sending it to several places...]

Dear All,

I have a pdp11/23 and pdp11/23+ and am looking for an ancient v7 unix
to run on them, this is primarily just for experimentation, I don't
really want to do anything sensible with them. Unfortunately the only
discs I have are rl02's. I do have a cartridge tape made by Kennedy
which looks vaguely similar to a TK25 maybe...

I have a source licence for v7 and sysV.0 - I have source for pdp11/70
which we bought ages ago, but I doubt that is much use for these machines!

Another query, again concerning the 11/23+:

I would be grateful if someone could fill me in on way the CPU is
configured and which of the options (if any are present), here's
description of the CPU board:

My PCB (Module M8189) has a row of 5 spaces for 40 pin ICs, 4 out of these
are occupied in the following way:

(Socket nearest the edge) : EMPTY
(Next two sockets) : Occupied by one huge chip which seems
				    to plug into both sockets.

There are six sets of numbers, one on each gold tops:

	      DEC 303E DEC 303E DEC 303E
	    23-009C7-AA 23-008C7-AA 23-107C7-AA
	      5164-36 5163-36 8241
		8304 8304

	      DEC 303E DEC 303E DEC 303E
	    23-204C7-AA 23-105C7-AA 23-106C7-AA
	        8244 8215 8321

(Next Socket) : Forty pin package with 2 gold tops:

	      DEC 303E DEC 302H
	    23-001C7-AA 21-15541-AB
	      6316-29 6261-18
	    8348TAIWAN 8350TAIWAN

(Last Socket) : Forty pin package with 1 gold top:

	     DEC 304E
	    21-15542-01
	     6350-32
             I 8345

Any information which you can give would be greatly appreciated, please
could you reply to me directly since this is being sent to some lists
which I don't subscribe to (yet!).

Many Thanks,
