SJ> Does anybody out there know why my LA50 gets the paper knocked off the
SJ> sprokets anytime the paper-fold passes under the little bar in front of
SJ> the roller. Any suggestion is welcome.

Not enough tension from the bail springs. You can increase the
tension with a couple of rubber bands wrapped around the bail and
secured to the read printer cover by paper clips. This is known as
the "Mickey Mouse" solution.

Looks like my monitor is about to go. Suggestions on who/where to
get a mono and possibly a color monitor?

I went to Midwest Systems (sorry, don't have the number handy) & got a VR241
(the color model) about a year ago for $150.00, which was a pretty
good deal, since DEC wanted $90 to fix my VR201 (mono)!

Midwest Systems. Are they local to Colorado Springs, or. . .?

tx for the info. Not exactly keen on paying Dec prices for an
obselete machine, though I do use it to communicate and type one. . .

tx for the info, david
