Thanks, for the answer Paul. It sure is great to have someone give some
 input. A friend of mine is going to look at the beast on Wed. and when
I find out what the problem was I'll let every one hear it in
case a future problem occurs for someone else.

Has anyone any knowledge of a 'Rainbow 190'. A friend called last night
 and said that he picked up a cpu only and the case has 'Rainbow 190'
on the front instead of Rainbow plus. It has a hard drive in it.

SETPORT is a utility that comes with Rainbow MS-DOS. It lets you set up
your  COMM and printer ports.

That was DEC's attempt to promote the Rainbow as a workstation. As I
recall,  it had no additional features over a fully loaded 100+.

Greatings one and all.
  name here is ED and I was wondering if anyone knows of someone that
has an example of asmbley code to operate the aux port on the Bow.
I am writing a mailbox program for Ameture Radio and just cant seem to
figure the COM (AUX) Port out.    thx in advance  ED
