(Anyone up to the "excercise" of >porting KA9Q? :-) > Would anyone care to comment on the difficulties associated with this "job?" I've heard that programming the serial port of the Rainbow is different from programming the serial port on the IBM PC. Is this the main part of KA9Q which would have to be changed? Would comparing the Kermit source code for the Rainbow and the PC be of any use in sorting out this particular port? Dwight p.s. On the subject of ethernet stuff, just for kicks, I loaded the TSR packet driver wd8003e.com (for the IBM PC using a Western Digital ethernet card) onto my Rainbow and executed it. It came back with a message about how there probably wasn't an ethernet card at the i/o port I specified, :) but it did appear to exit in an otherwise graceful manner. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Dwight A.
