Wish I could but I just a user of the system. Gary, our
syop here does a great job. Perhaps he can give you the information
you would need to get Opus. Glad you were able to get the other
programs. As you use them, this Rainbow network can probably
talk you through any tough spots.

It appears to work fine for me under 3.10b. Only thing is, it keeps the

Suggest you put your Lotus system disk in A: and try it again.

PS: Did you receive that uuencoded Cobol program OK?

Sounds like your baud rate may be too fast for the convertor to handle.
Try slowing it down until everything works.

does anyone know if there is a version of the ibm clone's mx5
fossil driver available for the rainbow?? this is a fossil driver
that will do a software emulation of mnp5. it works absolutely
great on clones, and there is really no reason why it wouldn't
work on the rainbow. (in terms of the machine being capable of
doing such a thing if a version were written for it)

i'd be the first to step forward and write it myself, except i
don't know a bloody thing about compression algorithms.

You need XON/XOFF flow control on the printer end. If your converter
can't give you that, you might try using SETPORT on the Rainbow
to turn off XON/XOFF and enable DTR.

As a final alternative, try turning the speed down to 1200 baud.

I have a copy of autocad release 2.17 for the rainbow including al
documentation. It runs under the rainbows dos mode and
requires a min of 384k, graphics option, and hd disk is
recommended. I believe that it has something called the
"betterments package". I do not own a rainbow and would like to
sell or trade this. Make me an offer of IBM software or parts.
