Don,

I had the same idea 4 years ago. I had upgraded my A to a B and didn't
need the adapter anymore. So I had a DEC field engineer
attempt to upgrade the board. Needless to say, it didn't work.
 In fact, the
'bow wouldn't even boot. I finally bought the 8087 board. Of course,
we weren't working with _any_ scematics. Once I bought the 8087 board,
I noticed all kinds of differences. About three years ago,
someone called me regarding the upgrade of a memory adapter
board to an 8087 board. I even took the 8087 board out of my
system and photocopied the board for him so he could see what
chips were used. I never heard from him again, so I'm assuming
that his experiment failed.

As Always,

Paul

Can anyone tell me where I might find a tractor feed for an LQP03 printer?
At a reasonable price, of course. A sheet feeder might be of interest
also. Any info will be appreciated.

I forgot to mention in the previous message that I have a DECMATE II
for sale. Any reasonable offer will be considered.

Well, guess I won't bother to give it a try then:-).

Subject: HELP WITH MODEM

I've got the chance to aquire a DEC DFO3 Modem for $20.00.
I played with it for a while and fiqured out how to get it to echo
back, but that was the extent of my sucess with it.
What I need is a quick rundown on the commands and front panel switch functions
Also is the thing worth messing with if it works?
Do the have any problems or failures that they are famous for?
Thanks
Nolan

Subject: FOSSIL NEEDED FOR BOW

I've got a point up and running on my clone so the next logical step is
to use the Rainbow! I'm using Binkley Term and the rest of the
usual stuff. The Bow is configured as below:

100+ with 10 meg HD.
MS-Dos 3.10B
CodeBlue 2.01
Software Soulutions IBM character ROM.

Well, what about it guys?
Somebody has to be using this (or similar) setup.
Any suggestions about the Fossil or various support programs that
you've had either good or bad luck with?

Thanks in advance, Nolan.
