I'm not exactly sure what you want when you say "DEC VT100 standard"
because the VT100 escape sequences themselves are not a standard.

The DEC VT100 sequences are based on ANSI standard X3.64 (I think that's
the right one) but are neither a strict subset nor a strict superset of
the ANSI standard.

If you want the ANSI standard or one of its follow-ons from ISO you could
contact the appropriate organizations:

	ANSI Standards

	Sales Department
	American National Standards Institute
	1430 Broadway
	New York, NY 10018

	ISO Standards

	CCITT
	UN Book Store
	United Nations Building
	New York, NY 10017

There may be locations in Europe that would be more convenient for you,
but I don't have their addresses.

If you want the DEC escape sequences (which may be more useful anyway
because that's the set that most DEC and ANSI terminals implement anyway -
most of the non-DEC terminals and terminal emulators implement the DEC
extensions and many of them don't implement the features defined in the
standards that the the DEC terminals don't have anyway), you can contact
DEC. They have a number of books on the various members of the VT100
family, probably the most useful ones would be the ones on the VT330/VT340
(which includes the VT320, VT240, VT220, and VT100 sequences as subsets) -
the manual on VT330/VT340 text mode escape sequences is order number
EK-VT3xx-TP-002. Documentation on features specific to the VT420 are
summarized in the VT420 user's guide (as are the VT320 sequences in the
VT320 user's guide), these are named EK-VT420-UG-001 and EK-VT320-UG-001
respectively. You can also get more detailed information on the use of
these escape sequences in other DEC manuals but these are sufficient for
most purposes (the information in the User's Guides is rather terse, the
VT330/VT340 manual mentioned above is much more explanatory). I don't
know what the best contact point would be for DEC from Europe.

There are also various summaries of these sequences available in machine
readable form but I don't have a copy of any of them around (haven't needed
to since I have the above mentioned hard copy documentation ...).

If you have a question about how to do a particular operation or about
how a particular sequence works I'd be happy to try to answer it but I
don't want to type in a complete summary of the escape sequences myself -
the complete list with explanation is quite lengthy ...

Good luck -
