Rainbow works with upto 67 meg disk (but ONLY 8 heads).

Subject:  HELP - RD53 BAD SECTORS 

 GT> I have a major problem. I have an Rainbow 100b with a 10MB disk. I have 
 GT> been given an rd53 and want to put it in my rainbow. Since I couldn't

 GT> cable. I then cranked up WUTIL V3.2 (using MS-DOS V3.1) and tried to

Two possible problems: WUTIL won't work with the official DOS 3.10, and
you   need to change the drive jumpers when changing the RD53
from VAX to Rainbow.
 
The fact that your copy of WUTIL even _tries_ to format means it is
probably  the jumpers.

Rumor has it that Carolyn Mack is selling WP 4.2 for the Bow.
WordPerfect themselves can't get their act together to ship me
one. I tried 5 times for a customer, and they shipped a PC
version everytime!

The older versions of Norton (I have 3.0) were smaller and did work on
the Rainbow without Code Blue, having had less fancy menus.  I
regret that I cannot offer any help on how you might obtain a
copy, however.
