Yes, they are. However, they have only 80 tracks of data on them.

First, make sure your Rainbow is set properly. Go into Setup, Printer,
and set the parameters to 8N and 4800 baud. Then give shift/s to save.

Let us know whether you still have problems.

Go into SETUP (F3) and change the printer settings:
        SETUP, Next Scr till PRINTER
Try 7S (Arrow key to change)
        4800 Baud
        SETUP
Try printing

If this does not work try different Bauds and then different Data B/P
settings with different bauds. If printer was working this
should do the trick. If not the you need to look at the book
for the correct Switch settings in the printer. I expect to go
to the next Rainbow BCS meeting and will bring my books on the
printer for you to look at.

When you find the setting that works Save by doing "Shift S".

DOS 3.01B is latest, but you should only need 2.11-1 if not running 32meg disk.

If your 2.05 disk is in bad shape make a copy TODAY using DiskCopy on 2.05.
        DISKCOPY A: B:
                 | ^-- To Disk
                 +-- -- From Disk

Go to the DEC/Rainbow BCS meeting second Monday of each mo.

Ah, can you explain this? Is this due to formatting?
