Tom,
includet in your window package should be files named MOUSE.COM
or MOUSE.SYS. At the system Prompt simply enter mouse (assumed
that mouse.com is in your path). Then the mouse should be detected
on your COM-Port and a message will be displayed on the screen.
In case that works add mouse.com to your autoexec.bat.
Else you can add the following line to yout config.sys
Device=E:\WIN\mouse.sys
In this case you do not need the mouse.com in your autoexec.bat!
If nothing happens try the mouse functions providet by the INT33H
to see if all is ok. Hope that helps.
Martin

Thanks, I'll try that. I thought I had to do something explicitly in the windows setup (On my PC-386 I have used the same technique as you reffered to, so I should have thought of that my self :-). /Tom -- | Tom Karlsson email: tomk@meryl.csd.uu.se phone: +46 18 260097 | | student of computer science @ Uppsala University, Sweden | | | | "At least it's something, said the mosquito and pissed in the sea..." |
