Hello Everyone,
Last I knew, Caroline Mack sold both packages. The new IRUG number is
703/775-2266. The last version of WP which ran on the 'bow was
v4.2. Unfortunately, I don't know what the new IRUG address
is, but Caroline is in Dahlgren (sp?), VA.
As Always,
Paul

Frank, was the 60 meg hd a "slip it in and go" operation?
I didn't think that Rainbow would recongnize anything over 30meg.
If is a slip in, what did you you use to format and partition it?

I know where there are two DEC Rainbow computers still in the shrink
wrap if anyone is interested. Leave a message as getting thru
to my home on the party line is impossible.
With printers also.

NL> I didn't think that Rainbow would recongnize anything over 30meg.
It worked fine once I got the jumpers set correctly.
NL> If is a slip in, what did you you use to format and partition it?
This presents somewhat of a problem. I was running DOS 3.10.016 at the
time and had no problem formatting and partitioning it with
WUTIL. But despite reports to the contrary, I have been unable
to get WUTIL to operate under DOS 3.10b. So I would have to
drop back to 3.10.016 to format, then use SYS to upgrade my
system to 3.10b.

I'm sorry if this is obvious to the goup, but how do we get in
touch with you? Is "The GoldMill BBS" a place where you can pick up mail?
Would it be appropriate for you to post info on the source of this
equipment to this newsgroup?
And since we're talking hardware, does anyone know of a source for
Rainbow hardware, such as hard disk controller cards and graphics adapters?
I would be happy to post a summary to the group if contributors would send
specific addresses and phone numbers of hardware/software sources to me.
Feel free to use the most convenient type of mail. I'll be watching all my
physical and logical mailboxes for your replies.
Thanks in advance for your help.
Dwight
