One of my DEC 5000/25 cannot start up the internet service daemon (/etc/inetd). I have checked with the /etc/inetd.conf file. The /etc/inetd.conf file is configured correctly. However, whenever I run /etc/inetd cannot stay in the memory and give me core dump. This workstation also cannot start up rwhod daemon. It gives me a bus error message: # /etc/rwhod pid 1126 (rwhod) was killed on an unaligned access, at pc 0x73656369 Bus error (core dumped) This workstation can telnet, ftp, figner to other workstation but not vice verse. Does anyone have this experience before? Does anyone know the solution? If you know it, please send me a e-mail. I will very appreciate it. Thanks. -- Alan S. H.
